Confirming what has already been said, faux leather has split at the top of crop after only a few days of use and does not leave a heart imprint on the skin :(

As stated in another review- the materials that go into this are all cheap. They did a good job of making this think LOOK like it's made of the other higher quality materials others use. I find this to be typical corner-cutting with the sportsheets brand, although they have made a couple products I DO like.
The shaft is a plastic straw-like tube, unlike fiberglass rod used by others. It wouldn't snap with normal use, and still works. Also cheap fake leather causes the handle loop to crust off in a disgusting looking fashion, but doesn't affect function. I couldn't get the heart stampy thing to work :( so I was disappointed to buy something at $22 shipped, when I've bought cheaper items that looked better made and worked better.
I recommend the similar products from spartacus...

This thing might not look too fancy or "brutal" but believe me it gets the job done. Me and my *significant other* have had it for approximately one year and it's held up great. My only gripe is that it looks kind of cheap, but it delivers quite a sting. And if you're not big on the heart impression it's supposed to leave (which actually works) you can always flip it over to the blank side on the back. We purchased ours from Spencer's not amazon.com but it's the exact same model, and again we've had it and used it for a year now, and the only thing that's worn out in one year is the faux leather loop at the handle end which has cracked and the very top of the whip end where the faux leather has split, but this does not render it unusuable. Pretty good value for the money I would recommend it
